Heading into our fifth month of Cash rewards, and the cusp of the holiday shopping season, we're excited to continue with another $2,000 in cash rewards this month and to pre-announce some changes coming for the December cycle. The first set of changes will be a category overhaul, we hope to clean up, consolidate, remove redundant, and add new relevant categories. The second big change will be the addition of a new referral program here at SharedReviews. We will add a new interface for you to track all of your referrals going forward, and you will earn referral bonuses on any earnings of anyone who signs up listing you as a referral! You will earn a bonus of 10% of all of your referrals earnings for a given cycle for a 12 month period from the date they sign up. This will only count for referrals who sign up after the new program goes live. Here is the breakdown of how each category's share of the $2,000 will be split in November: 1st: 40%, 2nd:25%, 3rd: 20%, 4th: 10%, 5th 5% 1) Vote allowances are going to remain with the same amount allocated last month. I absolutely agree! Many of my recent reviews have been on things I use at work. Obviously, they weren't gifts, but I do have a lot of experience with them as I use them daily. I'm still bugged by having only two choices of how we are qualified to write about an item, which are "I bought it," and "It was a gift" which it now defaults to if you didn't buy it. This looks really stupid for things like copiers. It also looks stupid when people have several similar large items that are all labeled "it was a gift." It makes readers think that they made up the review, when they may have plenty of experience with multiple items. = How about adding "I use it regularly" as a third option? I was just getting ready to write a new review. The category I was thinking of using was household tools because the product is a kitchen tool. I went into household tools to examine what was there. I found there are a bunch of different tools there including a few scattered kitchen items. I then went to garden and tools to see if there was a section for the variety of tools housed in the household tool section. Low and behold there is a category for "hand tools" there. I'm thinking I want to get back my older reviews I stuck in the household tool section so they can be placed in "hand tools" instead. Also, it would be nice to have a category designated for Kitchen tools/gadgets rather than just "kitchen and bathroom accessories" or "tools" per se. The kitchen market is flooded with all sorts of different non-electric tools and gadgets. I think some category additions/edits might make searchers more likely to find what they are looking for where category searches are concerned. I was just getting ready to write a new review. The category I was thinking of using was household tools because the product is a kitchen tool. I went into household tools to examine what was there. I found there are a bunch of different tools there including a few scattered kitchen items. I then went to garden and tools to see if there was a section for the variety of tools housed in the household tool section. Low and behold there is a category for “hand tools” there. I’m thinking I want to get back my older reviews I stuck in the household tool section so they can be placed in “hand tools” instead. Also, it would be nice to have a category designated for Kitchen tools/gadgets rather than just “kitchen and bathroom accessories” or “tools” per se.
